I lied. Zubz either saw right through me or started as Town (as wolf he would have jumped on the alibi). I'm not the Robber so I can't fully be sure Ty4on is lying but the odds I guessed right are rather slim I'd say. For me he is wolf for now.
ok, fine, then we'll do this the hard way. I was Doppelganger, doppeled Ty4on, got Robber, robbed Zubz, got Tanner's Wife. I have no clue who the Tanner is, so fuck this shit, I'll just help Town in case the Tanner is in the middle.
Lying: Probably. Wrong: No. It is possible for one specific role under not-that-unlikely circumstances to say with 100% confidence they're Town aligned.
Ok fuck it, I'm done playing around with being clever. Time to break it down and likely be informed that I actually do not understand what's going on at all.
No one can be certain. No one. Not the Troublemaker, not the Doppleganger, no one. If the Doppleganger picked the Troublemaker then they could switch the real troublemaker with a wolf. If the Witch picks a card that is not the wolf or the tanner but a minion or tanner wife then they are now on the minions side or tanners side. And any other role can of course be swapped with the Troublemaker.
Now please tell me how I really don't actually understand what's going on so I can feel like a dum-dum like I always dreamed. Just don't make it a popcorn dum-dum, those things are gross.
Doppelganger performs their action before the others wake up / look at their cards for the first time.
That's how I thought it is at least. Now that I further think of it that doesn't make a lot of sense in the physical version because how should anybody know they're the Doppelganger if not everybody looked at their card before? hmmm...
Wanna hear some good news? OG works on my laptop again, so doing these roletables will be more easy. Wanna hear some bad news? I'm out of the house for most of tomorrow so I won't be of huge help then... And I'm fairly certain I'm away from several hours before the deadline until way past it.
I believe it be hooves town more to not claim these roles almost at any point. I need to run the numbers but we could end up in a situation where wolves out numbers our vote if the bodyguard is in play since it doesn't help us lynch wolf. So be wise about it.
App seer you should probably sit on your knowledge to try and get someone in a fake claim. Your role is mainly there as cover for a lone wolf, sorry mate.
If I did this correctly worst case is 5 Wolves (Cursed, Mystic, Doppel, Minion, Investigator (Vanilla votes for Curse)) - 2 Tanner - 3+1 Town (Bodyguard can't vote on target). So yeah, this particular scenario looks rather grim.
On a different note: With Bodyguard and Prince (and one of them potentially doppel'd) in play I have a feeling we won't lynch who we want to lynch...
Woohoo! Bow to me!! In the end everything went according to keikaku.
At some point during the game I thought Kawl was the Minion and made the play of the century. Everything would fit: Immediately publicly assuming I'm a Minion backing up Swamped (which was the plan btw), later saying Crimson's play looked more like Minion than Wolf (after it was clear for #TeamWolf he robbed the Wolf from Tim) and I probably said the truth, and then finally "switching" a cabot in trouble with some rando. Just perfect. But considering the cards left unclaimed it was very unlikely. And as it turns out Kawl didn't make a superior Minion play
But can somebody explain what Sorian's plan was? I still don't get it.
For some reason, I thought the timer was going to be up already. Regardless of what Sawneeks is right this second, she has proved beyond a doubt that she is the seer. Stan is lying and in such a way that doesn't protect anyone else. I vote there.
Notes: I don't get the motivation of the lie from either Sorian or Melonrabbit. If CrimsonFist is telling the truth than this means that the Alpha Wolf is in play. Franconp confirms that Sawneeks indeed saw at least card 3.
No, the Vanilla Wolf isn't really in play. It's a "card 4" that can't be interacted with and gets switched in when the Alpha converts someone. That's why there are 16 cards for 12 players. Nobody can start as Vanilla Wolf.
